Discrimination

The Ontario Human Rights Code declares that:

“Every person has a right to equal treatment with respect to services, goods and facilities, without discrimination because of race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, marital status, family status or disability.”

Policies from The Ontario Human Rights Commission:

Ontario’s Anti-Racism Act, 2017 recognizes that: “Systemic racism is a persistent reality in Ontario, preventing many from fully participating in society and denying them equal rights, freedoms, respect and dignity.”
